Executive Committee

Structure of the Executive Committee

The Executive Committee of the Association will consist of 51 (fifty-one) members. The Executive Committee may co-opt up to 3 (three) members from the general members, and the executive membership will remain until the end of the term. The composition of the Executive Committee will be as follows:

  • 1 President
  • 5 Vice Presidents
  • 1 General Secretary
  • 1 Treasurer (with 1 Deputy)
  • 3 Joint Secretaries
  • 3 Organizational Secretaries (with 3 Deputies)
  • 1 Office Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 Publicity and Publication Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 Sports, Literature, and Culture Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 International Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 Human Resources Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 Religious Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 Social and Student Welfare Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 Women and Child Affairs Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 Education and Research Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 ICT Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 Health and Population Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 1 Disaster Management Secretary (with 1 Deputy)
  • 9 Executive Members

(c) The term of the Executive Committee will be two years from the date of the formation of the Association. Generally, this period will be completed according to the English calendar year (January-December). The same person may not serve as President or General Secretary for more than 2 (two) consecutive terms.

(d) All members responsible for the Executive Committee will be obligated to fulfill the duties assigned to them. If they fail to perform their assigned duties or show negligence, they may be temporarily or permanently relieved of their responsibilities based on the joint decision of the Advisory Council and the Executive Committee.

(e) The Executive Committee will be accountable to the General Assembly and lifetime members for all unreasonable or controversial decisions they make.

(f) If, for any reason, the Executive Committee is dissolved or if there is a vote of no confidence from two-thirds of the general members of the committee, and if the term has expired, the General Assembly and Advisory Council will jointly form a new Executive Committee by establishing a convening committee and will arrange for elections within three months.

(g) No current president or general secretary of any political organization or its affiliated unit will be eligible to run for election to the Executive Committee of the Association.
